We are proud to support our local Orange Crate Derby event! The Orange Crate Derby is a fantastic family event that's been going on in the Chula Vista/Bonita area for over 40 years! Kids, ages 7-14, race in home-built, wooden, gravity-powered cars down a hill in Chula Vista, California. Eastlake Self Storage supports the Orange Crate Derby by providing the space they need to store their race cars - up to 40 sets of racing wheels, ramps, lights, and signage! We’re grateful to be involved in such a fun community event.
Eastlake Self Storage is happy to support The Bonita Vista Vocal Music Foundation, which is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports Bonita Vista High School’s award‑winning vocal music program. Founded to sustain and enrich choir performances that the school district alone cannot fully fund, the Foundation brings together families, alumni, local businesses, and volunteers. Their mission is to empower students in groups like Music Machine and Sound Unlimited—who have performed across 22 countries and earned national accolades—with performance opportunities, competition experiences, and outreach through concerts, festivals, and cultural tours.
Beyond fundraising, the Foundation’s key initiatives include community‑building events (like open‑mic nights, teas, and family awards banquets), teacher and tech‐crew support, and monthly meetings to foster collaboration and planning.
In short, the Foundation ensures the vocal music legacy at Bonita Vista continues through mentorship, performance excellence, and community engagement.
We are proud supporters of the San Diego Mountain Biking Association (SDMBA), which is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving sustainable trail access for mountain biking in San Diego County. Formed in 1994, SDMBA is one of the largest regional trail advocacy organizations in the US with more than 1,700 members. East Lake Self Storage continues to support our San Diego biking community!
The Eastlake Self StorageⓇ proudly supports the Chula Vista Police Historical Foundation. “The mission of the Chula Vista Police Historical Foundation is to collect, preserve, and display historical photos, artifacts and other items that are part of the proud history and tradition of the Chula Vista Police Department from its beginning in 1911 to present time.” –Rey Franco, President CVPDF
